Nurturing a creative outlet for the personal transformation taking place as I move through life has been absolutely crucial. Our energy and experiences long for expression- and for me this primarily takes form as mixed-media visual art. I began painting on Maui in 2011 and knew immediately it was part of my soul’s path. My work is highly experimental and self-directed. When I moved to Santa Fe, NM in 2017 I began studying with Lauren Mantecon- a master abstract painter, teacher and mystic.

Painting is a pure expression of my connection to something unseen and larger than myself. I combine all kinds of materials- acrylic paint, charcoal, pastels, collage, and oils - amounting to an alchemical process that takes place through me.

In a world increasingly marked by nihilistic materialism, automation, and bland sequels, I render the spontaneous and often nebulous stirrings of my inner world into something visible and therefore relatable. Consistent themes that emerge in my work: paradox, facing the unknown and the multilayered complexity of the human experience- particularly cycles of death and rebirth that take place throughout one’s lifetime.
